Richard Leigh, one of the authors of The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, and who went to court against Dan Brown claiming he plagiarised HBHG for The Da Vinci Code, has passed away aged 64.
Kind regards, Greg

1/2 of Leigh Teabing passed away.
Actually, there is a lot of stuff from Holy Blood/Holy Grail that Dan "Borrowed" for Davinci Code... But "plagerised" is too strong a word.
Although I don't agree with most of the things in HB+HG I did RESPECT the book anbd I read it diligently. Well researched, even <i>If</i> the source (The source of the letters that Baigent and Leigh were using to base the entire idea of HB HG on...) was allegedly stringing them along.
Well, I thing Davinci Code worked out well for everyone around, those guys probably sold more copies of their book since DVC came out than in the 25 years previous... Haha!
64 years old though is still too young.

When I read DVC, my first thought was - hey, just a minute, this is exactly the same story as the Holy Blood and the Holy Grail. I still feel that the HBHG authors weren't given the credit they deserved.
