If they were to make this a movie, who do you think should play whom? I think it should as follows:
Becker: Dr. Jackson from Stargate SG-1
Susan: Jean grey from the X-Men movies
Strathmore: Farmer from Babe
Hale: Henry Rollins (for comedy's sake)
Jabba: John Goodman
Fontaine: CANDYMAN
Hulohot: Johnny Depp

I'm about to read the book and now, I may picture them as who you listed. I like the farmer from babe one and I love johnny depp.

I was going to start reading the book when I read your post Demon Wolf. Usually when I read books, I try to imagine what the characters look like as I read more. It was fun to read because I was able to picture everyone right from the beginning. Good picks! Thanks a lot! =)

I particularly like the John Goodman and Johnny Depp choices. Johnny makes such a great wacko. Anyone seen One Upon A Time In Mexico?? His Agent Sands is what -makes- the movie! I see Hulohut sorta like a silent Sands.
As to Famke Jansen (aka Jean Grey) for Susan.. I'm not sure... her having been a Bond Girl sorta works against her in my book. At least for ubersmart characters. How about Saffron Burrows? (see Troy - Andromache; Circle of Friends - Nan)

I love johnny depp, but I actually pictured Hulohot being played by the same man who played the villain as Red Dragon, the prequel to Silance of the lambs.
I still like the actress from Dogma, MIB, and Liberty stands still for susan.
Strathmore, um I imagined a bigger man than the farmer from babe. No one inparticular.
Rip Torn is too funny, but about that body type.

Susan: Teri Polo (Meet the Parents) or Elisabeth Shue
Strathmore: John Voight
Fontaine: Dennis Haysbert (President Palmer on 24)
Hulohot: Guy Pearce (The Time Machine, Memento)
I'll have to give more thought to Hale and Jabba. I was picturing "Comic Book Guy" from the Simpsons as Jabba...too bad he's a cartoon!

Here are my choices for DF:
David Becker: Rob Lowe (I think he would make a great Langdon too)
Susan Fletcher: Reese Witherspoon (as brunette to tear away from the Legally Blonde image.)
Strathmore: Harrison Ford (He is what I pictured as I read the book.) Although, Voight is a good choice too.
