If you go to Amazon and type in Danielle Brown and Blythe Brown, you'll see Dan's earlier books, which he didn't want people to know about, for fear that they would detract from his novels. In the case of The Bald Book, his wife, Blythe, drew the cartoons but Dan wrote the captions.

Im halfway through THE RULE OF FOUR and believe me ID rather read DECEPTION Point again and again even though its LAST on my dan brown list
TROF is boring
Is THE RULE OF FOUR nice? I was about to buy it and read since alot of its review relates to DVC. Can you briefly tell me what's your review for this book and tell me what is about in that book, about religious? Arts? Secrets? Thanks for your help.. I'm still looking for good books while waiting for THE SOLOMON KEY.

Since you are in Malaysia why not try The Harmony Silk Factory by Tash Aw, a Malaysian now living in Britain?

Couldn't agree more with that. After finish reading all the 4 books by Brown, I also went to buy TROF, and guess what, I stop reading it after only 5 of 6 chapters. I think the story is not organized well enough, and there are too many characters involved. Yeah, I would rather read any of Brown's book again, instead of reading TROF...

I agree with that, too. DP to me, seems more scientific and really is my cup of coffee. As the front cover of the book says, it is really unputdownable. I finish reading it in 2 days. I really hope that there will be a movie based on DP, since now TDVC has been made into a movie.

So, you don't fancy Tash Aw's award winning, The Harmony Silk Factory?

I thought Deception Point was ok, though there was no buildup to the revelation of the villian. I knew who it was only thanks to the other books, and the similar plotlines. Not enough clues were given to figure it out.
I for one really liked TROF. It's certainly a much more difficult read, but I think it's worth it.
