We haven't gotten it yet, but it's getting mixed reviews. I'd still like to read it. So, when you guys read it, let us all know what you think of it.

I have read it about 2 months ago and it takes me nearly a month to complete such good debut work by Eliz. Kostova. I have to say she is gifted in describing and painting a crystal clear view for us readers, because when I am reading it, it is as if I am at a third person view experiencing what is being experienced by the characters. The only downsides that I can find in this great masterpiece are the too lengthy sentences and small texts which can be tiring after some hours of reading but the magical in the book kept me glued for hours. Conclusion wise, in my opinion, it is a little too abrupt when they managed to eliminate Vlad The Impaler. Nevertheless, it is a must read of the year and you will not regret spending some bucks on it.

Can anyone tell me is there any similarity between The Historian and any books written by Mr Brown?
I bought the Historian, but haven't start to read yet.
