Same here - somehow it wouldn't seem right otherwise.

can one see the last supper in italy? i have heard that only 20 or so people can go in at a time, so it must be almost impossible to see or am i wrong? i live in london and planning a trip , but don't want to go if it is impossible to achieve.

i went to see almost all the places mentioned in DVC on my trip of june 05. it was amazing. i would recomend to save a lot of time aside for the louvre and wesminster abbey as lines can be long and the museums and churches may be crowded. for westminster abbey i say go in the afternoon at about 2 or 3. less people seem to waiting in line then. or go to the places at the time of the mid-day meal. the trip was amazing once again the group had a lot of fun. being the youngest in the group at 13 i was amazed to gather more knoledge about the art and the buildings from them than you could form a guide at the museum. having said that always travel in groups cuz im sure there is always someone that knows something you dont and you could learn form them like i did.

The Louvre has always been a great museum to visit. As Sephia rightly says, it does have wonderful architecture and works of art. And as an educational establishment it's great too. L'Ecole du Louvre is a simply wonderful place to study if you love art.
Of course, the Da Vinci Code only makes the Louvre an even more intriquing place to visit. I'm sure we can all agree on that (even Mr Dazzle!)...

I don't think Dazzle *needs* to agree on this one. And anyway, I don't want Dazzle to be positive about any of the Dan Brown work, it would spoil the fun! ;-)

How many of you wanted to visit the museum before you read The Da Vinci Code.
And, if you are visiting the museum, are you really going to see the "dazzling architecture, amazing paintings, and incredible sculptures" or are you really just going to see one specific painting because you read about it in a "book"?
