If you love books then why don't you go and read some new ones rather than read those ones? What new interpretation can you possibly get from rereading them? What possible fun can you get from knowing the whole plot beforehand?

Hi all, I'm the author of a new biography of Mr. Brown, The Man Behind the Da Vinci Code.
Of course, I read all four of his books in the course of my research, as well as two short humor books he wrote under a pseudonym before Digital Fortress, and have heard most of the songs he wrote, sang and produced. Even though I finished the research and writing on the biography months ago, I feel he's still living in my head!
I look forward to participating in this forum and answering questions about Dan.

So how did Dan get so 'taken in' by the hoax of Piory of Sion (Plantard, et al) ?
Hints that researchers of repute thought the whole thing an elaborate hoax were printed and discussed well before DVC was published in 2003

Welcome aboard. Thank you for mentioning Sol and my long discussions. The stuff about the Knights Templar -- what Umberto Eco's book Foucault's Pendulum calls those who obsess on the Templars, lunatics such as I-- is not really my main focus. As you can see from my posts on Solomon's Key and the Third Temple not being necessary, I'm really interested in the Ark of the Covenant, history, and "how to change the world" by changing people through how they see the world. Oops, my ulterior motives are showing.

Thanx EV.What I find fascinating about Dan Brown is he is able to make such people read books who would otherwise actually watch TV or play computer games.This is his biggest achievement. For others like me who have been Frederick Forsyth and Jeffrey Archer fans thriller genre is not new.What Dan Brown got me into is reading about organised religions of the west,which has been a fascinating journey .My knowledge about Christianity was limited to Sunday Mass,Christmas Holidays ,Good Friday eggs

Bonjour.. I'm a Malaysian Chinese, living in the city of Malaysia. I started to read Dan Brown's books when he became so famous with his remarkable book, The Da Vinci Code. I like the way he write, although it's a fiction book, but it influenced a lot of people. Sometime i myself don't know which part is true, which part is fiction. His words are deep inside.
I only read The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, because i like arts, religious, histories.. rather than advanced technology, i'm a blockhead of that. I went to do deeper research about things/arts that appeared in the books, i'm really interested in it.
Hope to know you guys more.. At least at this point, we are in common - We like DAN BROWN...
