Hmmm, just wondering. In chapter 112 (p457), Langdon and Vittoria discuss the camerlango's speech;
"...the camerlango broke the Vatican tradition of secrecy and went public about the crisis ... He put the antimatter on TV for God's sake..."
How in the world did Langdon or Vittoria know about the camerlengo's speech (which occurred shortly after 10 PM)? Vittoria was out cold since 10 PM and Robert spent the better part of the past 90 minutes in a sarcophagus and a fountain.

I don't have the book on me at the moment, but when I get it back I will look into this for you ... I rememeber at points in the book that Langdon and Vittoria are not only inside the conclave but also outside watching the events in the Vatican square ... I do not know if this relates to your question, because again I am going on memory alone.

I also have let someone read the book and do not have it, but I guess someone would have briefed Langdon and Vittoria as they got back to Vatican City. Or, they saw part of it on those huge TV screens people were unfoldng all over the place.

Well, it's impossible for Vittoria to know anything as she was unconsious in the Castel Sant' Angelo.
Now Langdon had three chances to gain information:
1. From the guards at FIRE(Santa Maria della Vittoria) - however he only spent two minutes with them and that was to ask for a map.
2. From the radio of the car he stole to drive from FIRE to WATER (Piazza Navona) - The last sentence of chapter 100 (p404) says nothing.
3. From the Australian in the Van outside Castel Sant' Angelo - All they talk about, however, is the 11th Hour Samaritan. Langdon's thoughts here still imply that he knows nothing about the camerlengo's speech.

All, this chapter tells us that the camerlengo's (a) breaking conclave and (b) he's detaining reporter Glick for some reason. One minute later, Langdon and Vittoria jet off in Olivetti's Alpha Romeo toward the FIRE alter.
Again, WE all know about the content of the camerlengo's upcoming speech. My question is ... How did Robert langdon and Vittoria Vetra know about (a) the fact that the camerlengo even addressed the media but (b) the actual content of the speech.

Poia, specifically, how did Langdon know that camerlengo put the antimatter on TV?

It's also just not uncommon for little plot flaws to sneak past the eyes of editors. Ah, if only books came with blooper reels...

CH 87: Robert and Vittoria are present when the camerlengo states (a) breaking conclave and (b) he's detaining reporter Glick from the TV station BBC. In the prescence of Robert and Vittoria the camerlengo also states "Have both he and his camerawoman meet me outside the Sistine Chapel".
CH 105: Robert makes reference to the "chaotic media lights surrounding St. Peter's".
CH 106: Robert's conversation with the Australian regarding the call made to the Captain of the Swiss Guard from the "11th Hour Samaritan", who may "save the day".
CH 108: Before the struggle between Robert and the Hassassin, the final branding by Janus is discussed. It is found that the "final victim" is camerlengo. The Hassassin refers to listening to the radio and hearing about the "11th Hour Samaritan". This is also done in the presence of Vittoria.
CH 110: The struggle is over and Robert and Vittoria are on the balcony of Castle St. Angelo. The Vatican can be seen, "glowing white under a barrafe of media lights". They discuss the arrival of the Samaritan and that no one knows the goal of this person.
Sorry if this doesn't make any sense. I just finished reading the book and I thought I could submit some help. But its a little past 2am in California and I'm about ready to pass out!
