I have some questions myself relating to TDVC that I wondered while I was reading... I myself am a pagan, and this book really got me to thinking about how many other pagans there are still around, in our society. So, anyone else here a pagan?

A note on biblical historical pedigree:
The council of nicea was more a philosophical battle on certain key concepts, and of course the bible is much, much more ancient than the time of constantinople.
The flood story is found in many ancient cultures, not the least being first recorded in sumerian cuneiform, as early as 3000 BC. Yes, 5 THOUSAND years ago. Noah's name in sumerian was 'ut-napishtim' and there are many more details of that story that never made it to the bible. i would highly recommend the official oxford translations by stephanie dalley (Myths from Mesopotamia: Creation, the Flood, Gilgamesh, and Others (Oxford World's Classics) .
Also, the garden of edin is sumerian, the 'E.DIN' Adam was 'adamu' and eve was 'titi'. a lot more detail there too. see above reference.
you may find these more interesting even than the davinci code if you really read between the lines, especially the words left in original form that the oxford group did not want to translate.
