No, you don't. I'm happy without religion.

Why would you think religion would lead to a clear mind?

even when you know that's not true

Why hello, anarchy I totally agree with you on that but there is a general majority that will not be able to manage without religion. A few individuals like ourselves are able to ignore and get by without religion but my belief is that religion has been created to guide people through life. Different factors in life affect this decision to follow a religion e.g. income, health etc. Its people like us who do not believe but yet get along fine,as you can see its a hard subject and not at all one sided.

you're the first german here.

but isn't religion a fact too, when the whole world
is talking about it??? in my opinion it's only a
help. your mind gets clearer and you feel free.
but that mustn't mean, religion is an enemy of science.

Religion is a fact, but the objects of religious worship are not. Example: if I believe in the Purple Teddy Bear, then the fact that I believe in Him/It is a fact, but that doesn't mean that there really is a Purple Teddy Bear with supernatural powers.

religion doesn't have to give proofs, thats the good thing.
it's a fact without proofs. the vatikan for example.
they were absolutly stupid, but everyone beliefs, what
they're saing(the most other idiots).
my religion is another kind of beliefing.

Dima << in my opinion it's only a

How do you explain that people are being killed all over the world, only because of religion then? It's obviously not clearing minds in Iraq or Afghanistan or Sudan, etc. Women are refused educations, freedoms and rights, only because of religion. Their minds aren't free at all.
