Hi all,

Some list members may be interested in reading a free chapter from my book Da Vinci in America: Unlocking the Secrets of Dan Brown's "The Solomon Key". The chapter offered is about the probable landmarks which will make an appearance in Dan Brown's much-anticipated sequel to TDVC.

You can find the chapter here: Strange Constructions

I'd enjoy discussing this topic with other forum members, as many of you are obviously quite knowledgable about Dan Brown's writing, research and methods.

Wow, lots of cool facts! Thanks!
I haven't started researching yet, since I have just got "Chainfire" (by Terry Goodkind) after a long wait, but as soon as I finish that, I plan to start checking out a few books about the Masons.
Anyways, this chapter is an impressive collection of little-known architectural facts about D.C.

Hi Sephia,

I came across this yesterday as well:

The Initiated Eye

Quote:

...an original exhibition highlighting the little-recognized contribution of Freemasons to the design and architecture of our nation's capital...series of lectures by prominent speakers who will address the Masonic Fraternity's contribution over time to the "American Experiment";

The exhibition runs from May till November - either some fortuitous timing is involved, or someone knows how to plan well!

Hi Curious,

Well, the simple answer (and best answer for me!) would be to tell you to grab my book Da Vinci in America (Amazon US and UK).

However, the Internet's all about sharing resources freely, so a raw summary of my investigation: Rosicrucianism, Freemasons, the peculiar beliefs of the Founding Fathers, the Masonic history of Washington D.C., the esoteric architecture of the Capitol, the Kryptos sculpture on CIA grounds, perhaps the Ku Klux Klan/Knights of the Golden Circle, perhaps the Jesuits and a number of other things besides. Try the sample chapter I list above for a taster, happy to discuss any of these topics listed in more detail if you're curious (in nature as well as name).

Hope this is of some assistance.

Peace and Respect

'The Solomon Key' Publication Date new [Re: Sephia]
      #3160 - 03/19/05 10:47 AM

Hi all,

Newspapers have been reporting that the book will now not be released this year (originally they were talking June-July this year). 'The buzz' from the London Book Fair was that February 2006 was now the tentative date scheduled.

found this on the web

"Its plot is built around the murders of several current political leaders by someone with ties to the Freemasons, the secretive fraternity that included some of the Founding Fathers."

wonder if the release date has something to do with the movie ...i.e one affecting the sales of the other ?

Actually, I noticed in one news story that Brown's publisher said they weren't expecting a manuscript before Xmas. If that is the case, then it may be mid next year (typically 6 months between manuscript and publication). I guess that almost gels with the call of 'Spring 2006' that some websites have up...close to the movie release date.

The main idea will be that members of a large organisation will be atempting to do something which goes against the moral code of one of the main charicters, who will then stop them.

whatever it is, it better not contribute to the stereotypical image of masonry. Masons who are in the lower degrees shouldn't even try to explain the craft to non-masons because they don't know the craft in it's entirety, let alone someone not even involved.

Here's hoping *fingers crossed*

If you are curious about the rituals, and this is strange for a secret organization to espouse "Light, more light" yet hide its light...

Check this website for their rituals in the first three degrees http://www.phoenixmasonry.org/duncans_ritual/entered_apprentice.htm

Poor choice of words. 'Secret society' would probably suffice, I guess. But Duncan's rituals quite possibly don't tell the whole story ! What can you tell me about the Knights Templar, btw ?

Well, the Jack the Ripper movie awhile back sure played into that stereotype ! "The Jewes are not the men to be blamed for nothing." etc. And 'robb' posted earlier that a murder(s) will of course be included in this book. The simulated murder of Hiram Abif in the ritual is what will perpetuate the stereotype, along with actual murders like Roberto Calvi's on Blackfriar Bridge (during the VaticanBank/P2/FalklandsWar period). I've posted info re that and how it could NOT have been a Freemason behind it, but the media is keeping that going because...well the secrets of Freemasonry aid in that effort unfortunately.

I do look forward to the hidden truths Dan Brown's new book will inevitably put forward. Did you see National Treasure ? The media's history, as with P2 being mentioned in Godfather 3, and Freemasonry is very negative. Did you know that Michele Sindona bought into Gulf&Western, makers of the original Godfather movie in 1972 ? Sindona was the real godfather to Pope Paul VI ? And a mafiosi ...the whole P2 lodge appears to be total Vatican/CIA front b.s. in order to discredit Freemasonry, whom the Popes since the early 1700s have tried to erase (actually 1307, but that's under another name: Knights Templar) !

Check out how Freemasonry is shown in this article
http://rigorousintuition.blogspot.com/2005/02/my-god-they-killed-him.html

"Calvi, after his string played out, met a peculiarly Masonic fate, hanging from a rope beneath London's Blackfriar's Bridge, his hands tied behind his back and 12 pounds of bricks stuffed in his pockets. (Naturally, originally deemed a "suicide.")"

Peculiarly Masonic fate ? C'mon.

As annoying as Sophie_2005 has been in her brief time here, she has a point. Dazzle, time and again, I've told you that this is a site for people who *enjoy* Dan Brown's books. You're more than welcome to state your opinion, once, that's really enough. Feel free to stick around for the discussions about the books you do like or appreciate, but the negative posts about the Dan Brown books are getting old. Especially regarding a book that hasn't even been RELEASED yet.

Which degree requires the candidate to memorize I Corinthians 13 ? Oh, it doesn't really matter anyhow.

This Solomon Key stuff is just more esoteric kabbalistic supercalafragilisticexpialadocious.

Just google Solomon Key and see what an absolute carload of occult compostheap you end up with. As I've pointed out, we'd be better off not naval-gazing but doing what the E Clampus Vitus did and poking fun at those too-serious Freemasons and their handshakes and excess secrecy.

Btw, Sophie, if you've seen Freemasons mentioned in movies it would make a great thread to investigate.

The Man Who Would Be King--Kipling's story with Sean Connery and Michael Cain. Connery's a KT or Knight of the Thistle isn't he ?

From Hell--On the JackTheRipper murders. Puts a certain Mason in a bad light. The Juwes aren't the same as the Jews btw. They're the 3 murderers of Hiram Abif.

Peggy Sue Got Married--Coppola's version of a Lodge is shown.

Godfather 3--Mentions that phoney P2 Lodge as controlling everything. Too bad Coppola may be just passing along the Catholic's and CIA's plan to point the finger at Freemasons rather than what the Vatican Bank and CIA were really up to.

Ivanhoe--By default, shows the Knights Templar in a bad light.

Any others ?

You're not annoying and you're opinion holds just as much weight as anyone else's on this website that was created for 'fun'. BTW, we need Dan Brown writing about that ultra secret branch of Freemasonry, the much dreaded E Clampus Vitus, who, if word ever leaks out, will eventually secure their ultimate goal of WORLD DOMINATION.

What say the brethren ? Satisfactory !
