Did anyone see Discovery Channel's piece on Dan Brown and the Da Vinci Code last night ? Pretty much squelched the whole Holy Blood, Holy Grail thesis and showed that the whole Priory of Sion secret society was an excellent forgery and fraud put up by Plantard and a few others. Luckily not all French journalists were taken in and the whole charade was exposed.
But it made Dan Brown look poorly since he claimed in the DVC that Priory of Sion was a real organization. "Real" for maybe 15 years only if you were a true believer in it in the first place, as Brown apparently is. Did he know about the fraud before writing the book ?

Well, he has been rubbished since the book came out but he still talks about his extensive (read: poor) research as if he truly believes it.

most of the reference of those author taken from, Well as matter of fact Jesus was an ordenary man not a GOD call it god but in reality Magdala was his favorite disciple.
Which is not included in New Testament but Coptic Christian prove it. That Jesus had kissed her lips. Maybe kissed on Magdala lips as a sister.

EV I doubt he knew.....when I was writting mine, I pretty much blocked out everything once I had the facts needed, and concentrated on the text (i.e. story).
HOWEVER, I DID go back afterward and rechecked the facts before it was published. Apparently DB didn't. Odd, considering his subject matter, you would think he'd be up to date on that stuff. YOU would, if you wrote one, wouldn't you?

I started to read it,but i didn't finish it yet. I just wonder now why the autors of that book started case against Dan Brown.Because before he wrote his book, nobody had heard about their. In fact he helped them.

I thought the book was a tremendous read but soon lost track of all the theories, hypotheses, leads, clues you name it. I've now tried to create order in the chaos surrounding Rennes-le-Chateau, the Priory of Sion and everything else that has to do with it. Check out RlC Research and Resource Page. Thanks!

long, and not exactly rivetting. Many leaps of faith and fancy; not as many facts. I prefer "Templar Revelation"

Hello All:
In my research on "Holy Blood-Holy Grail", and the responces that went between Author, Michael Baigent and myself, an interesting discovery was found.
If "The Grand Masters" List of The Priory of Sion is correct... then the story may not be so farfetched?
I read a biography on former French President, Leon Blum... In this biography, it is alledged that when the young Leon was eight years old, he and his classmates were invited to a birthday party of a famous french writer and patiot. This was the 80th. Birthday of none other than Victor Hugo. It was during this party, young Leon presented and recited a poem in honor and birthday greetings of the seasoned Victor.
It is alledged that Victor Hugo was so impressed by the peom that like a pre-ordained destiny, Hugo proclaimed importance to the young Leon.
Some years later... as a young adult, Leon would meet and become friends with french music-composer, Claude Debussy. Both Hugo and Debussy are on the POS GM List. In later life... Leon Blum may have been also aquainted with Jean Cocteau, another alledged POS Grand Master.
This would seem to be a strong indication that this fact would verify the story. Additionally, what brings this even closer, is the fact that then as French President, Blum's personal presidental secretary, was French Statesman, Jules S. Moch.
Known as "Cousin Jules", by those noting Blum's so-called blood association (and strangely even to me), the mystery becomes even more pronounced as to what parts of "Holy Blood-Holy Grail" seem mostly real but perhaps sprinkled with some falsehood to make you think.
