You are kidding! An illustrated version. How much money are they looking to squeeze out of people?
I assume that the illustrations will be photos of things relevant to the story (with illustrations) as opposed to sketches of Langdon and Sophie in a bid to extend the reach of the novel to the ones that 'can't' read books because they have too many words?

I've not bitten it off yet!
And my comments comparing Langdon to Scooby Doo seem to have been edited out.

It's gotten some decent reviews, although until Stephanie mentioned the book, I'd never heard anything about it.

I didn't edit out any Scooby Doo stuff. I don't know who did. Four people have the tools (plus Dazzle, of course) - I know neither Mudpuppy nor I touched anything. Mudpuppy has been working on other stuff. I figured you guys would work it out our your own -- you're both bright folks who can find a common ground.

I didn't touch the Scooby-Doo comment. Actually, I kinda enjoyed cackling at it....

Well, whoever deleted it, had a good reason. I didn't see the comment, but I trust the decisions of my highly unpaid staff.

Mudpuppy and I were out last night and saw the illustrated book. It's really nice and we're going to buy a copy. The illustrations are of paintings and such related to the story. You know, The Last Supper, etc.

Sounds really good - the perfect present for langdon_lover for Christmas! Does it cost much more than the normal version?

Unfortunately I didn't get the Cryptex(tm) Security Box I made for Dan Brown in time for him to put pictures of it in the illustrated book. I think that would have looked really nice in this book. Maybe he'll put it in a second edition?

The second edition is always better anyway. New & improved, with Cryptex(tm) Security. Mmm, mmm, good.

ive checked the paiting of leonardo's the last supper and it seems that the hand on "Magdalene's" neck is of the person next to him, without a doubt he was aiming for something....

I thought about buying a copy of the illustrated version of the book, but seeing as how Dan Brown just sent me a signed copy of this book, I guess I won't need to do that after all.
YIPPIE!!! I'm SO Excited!

Bought the illus. version last week at Walmart for only $20, retail on the book is $35. Still going to buy the regular book, just easier to handle and read. Will look at the pictures during each chapter I read. Just started on DVC.
Just finished A&D. An illus. version of A&D would have been great. A lot of the shots of places are on Dan's site. Looked up a lot of other images on yahoo and google.
